How to Get to the Conference Venue

The Asia Pacific Stroke Conference (APSC) 2026 will be held at the Block 2 of the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH), Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Conference halls (A, B, C, D, and E) are located on the first floor of Block 2 at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH).
The Exhibition Hall (Cinnamon Lounge) and tea service will be located on the ground floor.
Lunch will be served at the Sapphire Banquet Hall, which is in the Block 1 adjacent to Block 2.

Travelling from Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA)

Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB) is located approximately 35 km from BMICH.

  • Travel time: 45–75 minutes (depending on traffic)
  • Taxi / Ride-hailing: Readily available at the airport (recommended)
  • Airport Taxi Counters: Available in the arrival hall
  • Estimated fare: LKR 10,000–15,000 (subject to time and traffic)

Most international delegates find taxis or ride-hailing services the most convenient option after arrival.

Travelling from Colombo City & Nearby Hotels

BMICH is situated in central Colombo, close to many major hotels and landmarks.

  • Taxi / Ride-hailing: Easily accessible throughout the city
  • Tuk-tuks: Available for short distances
  • Public transport: Public buses operate along Bauddhaloka Mawatha and nearby routes

Many hotels are located within 10–20 minutes from the venue.

Parking at Conference Venue

On-site parking is available at BMICH for participants arriving by private vehicle. Availability may be limited during peak conference hours.

Accessibility

BMICH is equipped with ramps, elevators, and accessible facilities to accommodate delegates with special mobility needs.

Directional signage will be displayed throughout the venue to assist delegates.

Lunch Arrangement

Lunch will be served at the Sapphire Banquet Hall, located at the end of the ramp from the 1st floor of Block 2. Clear signage and volunteers will guide delegates from the session halls to the lunch area.

Registration Desk

The Registration Desk is located within the 1st Floor Lobby of Block 2. All delegates are requested to complete on-site check-in at the registration desk
